阿肯色苔草属 (Arkansas Carex): 贴吧为植物学愣人了.

新修 2012天10月03日!

您好。我美国人。我学阿肯色苔草属(色苔草属:Carex)。This page is page one of several similar pages.

This new page is new has several similar parts. I designed these pages for students in the US from China. China sends about 300,000 students a year to the US. Most earn advanced degrees. We send about 60,000 students to China each year. Most study the Chinese language. This part of my website provides my Chinese friends with information about living in the US, especially about Fayetteville, Arkansas.

This page helps my Chinese friends, especially those attending the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, how to obtain an Arkansas driver's license. This certificate is required for anyone who drives a car in Arkansas. Each US state produces its own driver's license. The rules are very similar for any state. If you are a student in Fayetteville, simply ask your Chinese friends how to do this. They will probably tell you how to do it. First, I suggest you find the state department of motor vehicles website. This provides you with information you will need, such as the documents required. Since state websites vary and change, I am not listing them here. Find out where to take the written driving test. I believe there is an office in Springdale, Arkansas. You can also find a study book for this driving test at their website. Study what we call "the rules of the road". If you pass the test, you get a permit to drive, but not a "full" driver's license. You do not need a car to take this test. If you fail the test, don't worry. You can take it as many times as you want until you pass.

After you pass, you will be given a learner's permit, and the fun starts! You can legally drive. But you need to make sure you are covered by insurance. I put that word in bold text because I will add a page about insurance later. If you drive with a learner's permit, the owner of the car is responsible for insurance. So, if I allow you to drive my car, I take a risk of an accident and my insurance will pay if you wreck my car. There are different types of insurance, basically that cover someone else you might hit and that cover you and / or your car. Most about that later.

You will need to practice driving as a learner for at least 30 days. This requires you to have a fully licensed driver with you in the passenger front seat of any car you drive while holding a learner's permit. A learner's permit is good for up to six months, so you do not have to take a driving test until you are comfortable practicing first. If you fail to take the driving test, or you fail the driving test, after six months the learner's permit is no longer valid. You would then have to take the written test again before attempting the driving test.

The driving test is usually given only a certain days, especially in small towns. A state police officer will ride with you during this test. He or she will direct you on how and where to drive. They basically want to see if you are confident "behind the wheel of a car" as we say (meaning, while driving a car). If you pass the test you are not finished. You must go to the state revenue office and pay for your license.

One of the hardest parts of learning to drive is getting a car to use for practicing your driving skills! I've had the privelege of helping two of my Chinese friends learn how to drive. That is, I used my car or truck and allowed them to drive it. One concern? If you allow someone to use your car to practice driving, and they have an accident, you or your insurance company are responsible for any damages you may cause. Later, I plan to write a blog about car insurance. For now, just know that there are two basic types and these two types have to cover two different types of insured losses. In short, liability covers the cost to someone else's car or body injuries. Collision insurance covers your own car, should you cause an accident. Both of may cover damages to vehicles or property as well as humans. That is, if you run into a house, you are responsible for the damage to the house. My best advice? Talk to your insurance agent for details and make sure you are covered for any situation you need insurance for.
