Sedgehead examining a specimen of Carex granularis in May 2008. One might wonder why this page has Chinese characters. The answer is simple. I'm studying China and the Chinese language. My "why Chinese?" link explains why. The pages serve serveral purposes. As you can see based on the links at left, I have a wide variety of interests. I started by discussing Arkansas sedges, especially Carex sedges. From there I've expanded the site to include: 1) a Chinese version of this site (poorly developed at this point), 2) The All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory of the Buffalo National River, 3) Business related links, as I'm a lisenced home remodeling contractor, independent botanical consultant, and own a consignment shop booth, 4) convenient links page for me, 5) a "currently blooming" page with pics of currently blooming plants in north central Arkansas, 6) a trails related page, 7) other extraneous links to sites of interest to me. I'm seriously considering adding other features such as a sedge question and answer page, perhaps a blog, and such fun stuff! I'm open to suggestions! Overall, my goal is simple, just want to provide info and have fun! |
